No, they don't taste like chicken ... but they're so delicious that even meat eaters love them! And let's be honest, anything that has buffalo sauce on it and is a conduit for ranch dressing is amazing. They're a great way to add a veggie to your game-day spread or your dinner. Try dipping them in ranch or blue cheese dressing.
Buffalo Cauliflower Wings
Ingredients:
1 head of Cauliflower
Oil
1/2 cup Flour
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
6 tablespoons Milk of choice
3/4 cup - 1 cup Breadcrumbs
1 cup Buffalo Sauce
6 teaspoons Oil
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 425 F and line two large pans with parchment.
Chop the Cauliflower head into florets.
A tip when chopping florets: cut the cauliflower at the stem and THEN using your hands, tear the cauliflower apart at the stem. Continue until it is your desired size. This helps prevent crumbling of the cauliflower and helps keep the stem on so you can easily dip the florets. Watch a video on how to cut here.
Place the Cauliflower in a large bowl.
Drizzle olive oil over the cauliflower and toss until every floret is coated.
Toss the Cauliflower in 1/2 cup Flour and 1/2 teaspoon of Garlic Powder until each is coated.
Tip: Take your time and be gentle while tossing so as not to break the cauliflower.
Crush 3/4 - 1 cup of Breadcrumbs and leave in a small bowl.
Toss the Cauliflower in 6 tablespoons Milk until each is coated.
Take each floret and dip into the Breadcrumbs until fully coated.
Arrange the florets onto the baking pans.
Make sure not to crowd the pan so they can crisp!
Bake on the center rack for 25 minutes.
While baking, combine 6 teaspoons of oil and 1 cup of Buffalo Sauce.
Dip each floret individually into the buffalo sauce and place back on the pan.
Bake for another 15 minutes.
Broil the cauliflower for a few more minutes before serving for an extra crisp!
